Charity Comedy Night

Mark Moccia. Mark will be your host for the evening. Mark is a full time Technology guy who has a passion for giving back to charity and is a lifelong fan of standup comedy. He started performing comedy in 2019 and has performed all over New England including at Comix Mohegan Sun. He has a self-deprecating style that works for him because there is alot of material to work with!

Jim Bowes. Jimmy Bowes is a simple everyman. Married with three young kids, one of his favorite things about doing comedy is driving to events in a whine-free state of bliss, during which he has to threaten to pull the car over zero times. Audiences of all ages enjoy his takes on navigating adult life and a career as a teacher while hamstrung by deficits in attention and maturity. Jimmy is one of those rare voices in comedy who has no need to say naughty words to get laughs, but sometimes he still does.

Colleen McCauley. Mouthy, brash Colleen McCauley is a smart-ass female voice in Boston comedy, and her on-stage persona is not too much different than the role of “Cathy,” the comedian-actress played in the Boston-based classic film Good Will Hunting. She’s appeared at the Regent Theater in Arlington, China Blossom in North Andover, and at Mohegan Sun. She’s shared the stage with a bevy of top New England headliners, including Juston McKinney, Lenny Clarke, Frank Santorelli and Steve Sweeney.

Stephan Francescone. Newmarket’s own Stephan Francescone is an aspiring comedian who runs the monthly comedy show at The Stone Church on the first Thursday of the month. Professional by day and an oddity by night, he has more layers than an ogre.

Al Ghanekar. Al Ghanekar is a stand-up comedian in the Maine comedy scene. After starting comedy he learned to write a bio in the 3rd person to make yourself look like you're important enough that someone else wrote your bio. He was born and then immediately started doing stand-up comedy 33 years later. Since then, Al has performed all over New England and different parts of the USA.

Doris Ballard. Doris Ballard began her career in stand-up comedy in 2016 performing at local New Hampshire clubs such as Fody’s in Nashua, the Hatbox Theatre in Concord, the Shaskeen in Manchester, and in Massachusetts, most recently at The Grog in Newburyport. She won a stand-up competition at Latchkey in Portsmouth, NH. She was both thrilled and surprised to have recently been selected as one of The Hippo’s “Best Local Comedians” in New Hampshire.

Scott MacNeil. Comedian Scott MacNeil, known as 'Clean & Clever' started comedy at age 47. He has competed in the Boston Comedy Festival twice and was an opener for Gilbert Gottfried. In 2018 he auditioned for America’s Got Talent.

Rich DiPippo. Rich has lived in Newmarket for 15 years. He has performed comedy and improv at The Millspace several times. His wife will grudgingly tell you he's funny while rolling her eyes. His kids will tell you he tells dad jokes, but he would like to point out that just because a dad tells a joke does NOT automatically make it a dad joke. He takes great pride in NEVER having done the "Hi hungry, I'm dad" bit.
