Addie Tarbell
I’ve been involved with the Missions Board since I first joined NCC 7 years ago – that was what brought me to both NCC and Newmarket. Since then I’ve become immersed in the town in other ways, but NCC’s Missions are the most meaningful to me.
I have 2 daughters, one living with me and another in Maine, and a stepdaughter who lives in Italy, and has 2 girls, 15 and 17. I also have an adopted family in Manchester with 8 children, ages 11-25. After a career of owning small businesses, I moved into the non-profit world about 15 years ago. I work for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, under AmeriCorps Seniors, placing seniors in non-profit volunteer positions and also running free strength training and balance classes for seniors across Rockingham and Merrimack Counties. I believe in the importance of volunteering, especially for seniors, and my work with NCC mirrors that. I am thrilled to be part of a community, both faith and not, that shares my beliefs and is services oriented. The Missions Board is growing, and that is exciting!
