Alliance brings ‘safe stations’ to opioid crisis -9/22/2016

Newmarket ASAP (Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention) has teamed up with the Newmarket Fire Department and Newmarket Police Department to create “safe stations” where addicts can go either building to get help with substance abuse as part of the ongoing efforts to battle heroin and opiates. NEWMARKET — Just one year after a group of community leaders sat down around a table in the Recreation Center to plot out some sort of local response to the opioid crisis, the Newmarket Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention is already seeing the fruits of its efforts.
